Hi Rubin from the photo, the hallmark looks relatively new. Current French hallmarks and historic french hallmarks are two different areas. Yes, the eagle is a French hallmark in both current and historic French markings. However, is it an AUTHENTIC French hallmark? Just because one sees an Eagle doesn't discount the possibility that the hallmark could be a faux French hallmark, a goldsmith at play or then again, it may be an authentic French hallmark. There isn't enough info or enough photos for the guru to make a determination of the maker.
