There have been a number jewelry manufacturers that use the initials BB as their trademark. As the pocket watch has been assayed in Birmingham though - I agree with Yvonne's call.

Hi Mark probably BB maker's mark is - BARKER BROTHERS, Ltd. Birmingham, UK - ca 1870s.
