I am looking into purchasing a gold ring. Attached is the picture of the hallmarks. I was wondering if the order of the letter date is relevant to the authenticity of the ring. Are letter dates supposed to only be after the assay mark or is it also fine if the date mark is before the assay mark? I was told that the mark after the "t" is a lion head. I'm assuming the seller meant to say the leopard's head since the seller said it was from the London assay office.
