Gold Hallmark on Ring

I have a gold ring that was left to me by a relative. On inside can make out a small heart etched (not stamped) into the band with what looks like the number 1 or a line just to the right of it. It also says 14KP and there is a hall mark of some kind that looks like a paralellagram (all 4 sides are not equal). I have not been able to determine what is inside this shape. Any suggestions?
