I also have a 9ct gold keeper ring. Hall marked Chester. G.K.L. Can't find any information on it at all. I am 47 and the ring was my great grandmothers. Any help would be appreciated

according to Lynne's description, the assay office is Chester.
if you go to the page Researching British Hallmarks there is a link to Chester Hallmarks. Clicking on this link will open another window and you will see the date letters for Chester on the top right hand corner.
Click on the Chester Date Letter Chart. I found the letter A - stylized form of letter in a square frame-shape matched with 1901.
