German art deco clip

What can you tell me about an art deco style clip marked Germany? It is oval, with filigree at the top and bottom, it has an inset oval piece of mother of pearl in the center surrounded by rhinestones and is stamped Germany on the back. I can't decide if it's really old or a recent piece.
