Letters on Old Chain

Steve - this type of chain was often used for bracelets in the mid to late 1800s. Often a heart lock would be attached to the chain that acted as the fastener for the bracelet. The chain is most likely gold filled or a 10k chain. The letters don't have any significant meaning. They are just a part of the design.
