Electroplated Gold Markings?

I have 18 KHG marked on my ring, does that mean it's HARD GOLD ELECTROPLATED or is it legitimate 18 K? It looks like it's an antique gold ring.

It also has like a letter inside a circle i think, an A or an M or somethin.. with a line inbetween the 18 KHG and the letter/circle
