Date and manufacture query

My mum's wedding ring has S.H stamped inside, then a crown, then 22 (so 22 ct gold) a sideways anchor (so Birmingham Assay Office), and a hard to distinguish letter ... in a box with straight edges, but cut across at the corners.
The letter looks like an old-fashioned G, but that would date the ring at 1981 ... and mum was married in 1957. The letter may also be the S (crossed through) from 1892 (but that seems early for a wedding ring for 1957).
It also has a stamp that reads Lucky Star (with a star in-between the two words), then the number 31.
So, I was just wondering if you can tell me who S.H is/was, plus what the Lucky Star symbol refers to, and the number 31?
Thank you for any assistance you can give.
Warmest regards
Georgina Herman
