Russ, are there any other marks or letters around the crossed swords on the ring? Is the mark in a circle, a square or no background surround? We are talking swords, not arrows?
(You brought a smile to my face double-crossed. Thanks for your imput)
Best Wishes, Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre

The Gold Content by: Jenny
Russ
the three numbers indicate the gold content. Probably it's 585 but the last digit, the 5 is worn away a bit so easy to confuse with 3.
585 is the same as 14k just different expressions of the same thing. this way of expressing the gold purity - 585 in parts per thousand is more common in Europe. Jenny

Crossed Swords, by: Double Crossed
Crossed swords on a wedding band? that sounds about right to me. That in itself must add to the value.

Red, Blue & Purple Gold by: Anonymous
Hi Russ,
Good for your wife! I love the look of Rose Gold Jewelry. (also called pink gold and red gold). Rose Gold looks great on a tanned complexion and also against a very pale complexion. The red color is because the gold has been mixed with (usually 1 part) Copper.
Gold colors you rarely see, are Blue Gold and Purple Gold. Blue gold can be made by alloying with iron and Purple gold can be made by alloying with aluminium, although rarely done except in specialized jewelry as it is more brittle and therefore more difficult to work with when making jewelry. Hope you find the answer to the crossed swords on the wedding band.
