I managed to find the "Vintage MIKIMOTO PEARL NECKLACE & BOX! DESIGNER HALLMARKED" by seller voctoriaowens -
I noticed seller does have 100% positive feedback, and offers a refund if not as described, the listing also mentions the word - "Guaranteed" - and the pearls have been "kept in it's original Blue Mikimoto presentation box" and they do look lovely in the photo, very tempting!
I just would double-check M signature which should be in a Clam Shell shape -
The shorter length of the pearls, indicate they could have been made after 1920s - in the 20s, long strands of pearls were in vogue - also the Coco Chanel poverty de lux look.
In the 1930s, a short double row of pearls fastened with a diamante clip at the back was within reach for many woman because of the availability of the cultured pearl from Kokichi Mikimoto.
