I bought a pair of snap art deco cufflinks in a Belgium flea market. Only when I got them home did I find that the inside of the snap fitting was stamped 18Ct. I think these are German as they are also stamped DRGM and at the top MAXIL. Following the 18Ct are the letters RENF (I think! Jewellers eye glass needed) at the top is a shield lozenge with a monogram FA. Have I struck lucky for £7.50? Are they solid gold? All I could find online was a Christies auction item Gold Art Deco cufflinks stamped MAXIL that went for about £125. My pair are necessarily relatively but not heavily worn, surface scratching mostly light. Thanks...
