I'm considering purchasing a walking stick that was produced in the 1920's I believe in the US but not certain of that. It has an ornate handle that is gold in appearance with no signs of wear to a base metal and has three seperate hallmarks. The top one is the number 2 inside a circle, beneath that is a shield, and beneath that is the number 368. Is there any way of determining by that if this handle is gold filled or solid? Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is an expensive purchase and I'd like to make the most informed decision possible. Thanks
