the diamonds sound like they could be old cut diamonds. I would definitely pay for an appraisal. I reckon it would be worth it.

It was handed down through my family. I believe it was made sometime between 1910-1930's. The diamonds under a microscope aren't like the diamonds you see today. The center diamond is maybe 1/5th kt. and has 4 smaller diamonds that go around that and 2 even smaller diamonds on each side.

what makes you think it is an ANTIQUE Ring? Any background information that you might be able to provide will help. Is it a plain gold band, set with stones, etc.
