Antique gold necklace

I have a gold antique necklace with an amethyst pendant and fresh water pearls. It has a marking on the back of 5 letters either PYKIE or RYRIE and the numbers 329-3-78.

All of it is hard to read but I am just curious what they might mean. One jewellry store told me the piece looked to be from the late 1800s but I do not know the history of this piece. It has 14K markings as well and what appears to be a dot in a square. Any information would be apreciated. Thanks.
