The pendant is a religious medal and looks (from photo) like it is Gold filled, or Vermeil (Gold over silver).
If the pendant is marked high carat Gold, and if the stones are Diamonds, for certain, it means it's a special order piece, They don't bring very much, except the gold weight, and the stone value.
Most of these religious metals were made in Italy, and it is all but impossible to find the Gold or Silversmith who made them. The letters on the piece are probably those of the guy, who made it. The Italians, did not keep very good records of these guys.
By the way, if there is a Fleur-de-Leis on Gold, it is more than likely French.

Religious Medal by: Yvonne hammouda-Eyre
Concerning the mark MIR, on the Madonna & Child pendant, either an Italian religious medal or possibly of Russian origin. The mark MIR is either the maker's mark or commemorative - Peace and World.
