unusual mark! Might not be a maker's mark.

registered throughout the Commonwealth, and used in conjunction with the Members' Special Marks. The Trade Mark of member of Manufacturing Jewellers' Association of Victoria -
E. ALLEN - 226 Little Collins Street Melbourne looks very similar to this mark, best I can describe it is an upside down crescent moon.
