OFO Mark by: mla
My wife (a former silver buyer for a big city department store, and current Kirk-Stieff vintage silver collector) recently purchased a gold bracelet at a reputable vintage jewelry store in NYC. It has 3 stamps. She knows silver stamps and hallmarks, but not so much in gold.
The first is 18VI, which I first thought was a stamp for 18K gold, but now I wonder if it has more to do with the city of origin than the K. The second stamp is 750, which is 18k in my knowledge base.
And the third stamp is OFO. I can find nothing about this
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
mla

the number you mention on the band would be the Italian jeweler's identification number. VI is the locality abbreviation in Italy where the mark was registered.

Italian Gold bracelet by: Leonardo
Hello, I confirm you that your beautiful bracelet has been made in Italy and that the marks next to "750" means in which city has been made in this case in Vicenza "VI" this mark was used in the 1950’s/1960’s, I have a gold brooch that belongs to my great grandma and has the same marks. Have a nice day!

Italian Hallmark Amber & Sterling Necklace by: Anonymous
I have an amber and sterling necklace that has a tag that says "CFM" Sterling, "925 Italy", and another tag that has an owl and a G on it. The necklace is a winged orb, like a snitch in Harry Potter. Do you know anything about it?

Registration Marks by: Anonymous
I agree, it is a stunning bracelet. Makes no difference if the stone is glass or gemstone in my opinion. It's a stunner! Streamlined Chick of the early 20th century. The numbers "170" could be the registration number of the Italian goldsmith.

What is the stone in the center of your bracelet? by: Anonymous
Stunning! What a beautiful bracelet! Could you please tell us more about the green stone in the center. Could it be an emerald? It is so beautiful! Yes, 750 is the gold purity mark. It's 18ct gold. You might find the other marks that are letters indicate a province of Italy.
