1980s baroque pearls

A friend wants to sell me her pearl necklace for $1300. It was appraised in the 80s for $1500-it has 6 strand of baroque pearls (probably 5 mm) with gold clasp and 0.12 diamonds in clasp. It is 18 inches in length and you curl the pearls up so they are twisted. Does that seem reasonable?
