Real or costume jewelry Cameo ring?

My grandmother gave me this ring in which she bought off of someone about 10+ years ago. She has never had it looked at and thinks it is just costume jewelry. It has a little stamping on the inside that looks like a circle with a line down the middle and has "14K" marked next to it. There also appears to be a signature on the back.
